"This has got to be my favourite hotpot place. Such a gem! The food was fantastic. I really enjoyed the sichuan broth and all the meats. Staff were friendly, especially the owner. He kept checking in to make sure we were okay and even made us his special sauce which was super delicious. Can’t wait to come back the next time I’m in KL!"

"This is my second time coming here to enjoy the mala hot pot, and it never disappoints. The food is absolutely marvellous. Imam Ahmad / Lin is extremely friendly—sometimes he even prepares the hot pot sauce himself and ensures the grilling session turns out perfectly. He attends to customers very politely and genuinely makes you feel welcome. One of the best parts is that I can converse fluently in Arabic when placing orders or requesting additional beef or mutton, which makes the experience even more special. On top of that, the environment is clean with a great vibe. The other staff members are also attentive, and the food variety is impressive. This Chinese Muslim halal mala hot pot is truly a gem. Definitely a must-visit place if you’re around Melawati."

"Stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while passing through Melawati and it turned out to be such a gem. I ordered the Sichuan peppercorn soup and clear broth. And the very first sip instantly transported me back to my travels in China. The flavors were authentic and comforting, especially perfect for the cold, rainy weather that day. Interestingly, we ended up ordering more fish than lamb or beef because it reminded me of the meals I had in Wushan. The owner was friendly, taking time to explain the menu, personally serving us, and even teaching me how to mix a special dipping sauce that elevated the whole experience. The restaurant was spotless, with gold dishes and cutlery added a nice elegance. Overall, Garden Hotpot was an unexpected and memorable find."
